iPod How can i backup my old podcasts?

Hello!

I've some limited hard disc space, and until I'm upgrading, I was wondering how I can backup my oldest podcast in iTunes.

Currently I'm having 50GB of video podcast, but I would like to copy 30GB over to my external disc so that I can download more. So, what's the best method to do this? When I have upgraded my internal disc, I would then like to copy the 30GB back, and then combine the 30GB and the other 20GB + newly downloaded podcasts. And iTunes have to discover everyone.

Anyone who could help me? :)
