I want to know how I can block ads which play not only at the beginning but throughout many YT videos. Is there a way to do this? I can't just put on a long YT video with music and walk away and do things while listening cause then I can't be there to skip over the ad (they're marked with a yellow line along the time bar). Does AdBlock offer this option?

Also when playing a YT video if I go to another tab in Safari and reload it then the YT video skips or gets choppy. Does anyone know why that would be?

If you see where the yellow markers are on the time bar that is where it will pause to play an ad. Depending on the video there can be many more than that. How do I block that so that no ads play during the video?? It's very annoying to have the video play while I browse other sites and then randomly hear an ad play. I have to go an manually skip the ad.

I am facing the same issues! Youtube has become a nightmare, just like watching tv with literally minutes of ads! If anyone could please respond, that'd be great.

Thanks and greetings from Germany

Adblock was sold for a suspicious company a long time ago and everybody drop it... you should be using ABP (ad block plus) and uBlock, I use those two, together, for years now and I'm really happy.
ABP shows ads that they consider not too intrusive by default, you can change this in configurations, so won't show ****.
Try disconnect extension too https://disconnect.me/disconnect

So I should uninstall AdBlock and get AdBlock Plus?

ClicktoPlugin safari extension is great for skipping YouTube ads.

I have had the best results with Adguard, at least in Safari. For other browsers, I recommend uBlock Origin.

I do use Safari so I'll try this and see how it goes. Thanks for the recommendation.

yes, and ublock, use two. NO more ads.
Install those two and check youtube again. Thank me later...

uBlock doesn't come up in the Safari extensions page but ABP does. I'm gonna try Adguard which this other poster recommended and see how it goes. Thanks for the help.
