I spent some time googling this and reading articles and whatnot, they say to hold a book / reader, or bookmarks icon and it would show an option to bookmark all open tabs, but I'm not getting that. I'm on and iPad Pro 11 inch with iOS 15.4.1. Any way to do this would work, but ideally I would like to be able to select multiple tabs open and bookmark all of them onto any folder.

  1. Launch Safari and open the websites to bookmark (if not already open).
  2. Tap the website address to bring up the floating address bar.
  3. Long-press the address bar and select Add Bookmarks for n Tabs.
  4. Tap Favorites to see and choose other location options.
  5. Save.

I tried step #3 but nothing happened when I held the address bar. When I held the link, it just showed the regular text context menu. Can you show me screenshots or something for what to do?

Ignore step 2, just tap and hold on the adress bar until it pops up.

I thought this would be a very inefficient method, but I use Firefox with this Snap Links extension, to open multiple urls simultaneously or copy them to the clipboard, which works well. Thanks.

How do you do that on your iPad - using this firefox extension? I’m pretty sure you can’t, can you?

Anyway: if you use Safari on iPadOS the combination of tab-groups and the described method for bookmarking various tabs should keep you covered for the usage you described. Of course there is room for further improvement related to the management of browser bookmarks. ?

nota bene: Google Chrome, FireFox, DuckDuckGo Browser &company offer other approaches to do this on iOS/iPadOS 15.5. Maybe one of them is more to your liking. ?

Welp, I can't edit my posts, RIP. I actually meant to write that on my other post about copying multiple bookmarks on Safari.

Anyway, I was able to hold the address bar and can see the option to bookmark all the tabs, but I would still like a way to select individual pages in Safari to add to the bookmarks bar.
