I'm cleaning up my Mac in preparation for Mavericks and noticed I have 7 calendars in iCloud but really only use 4. The ones I don't use are Home, Work, Calendar, and David... but one of them for sure has events in them.

Is there a way I can check the others? I'd hate to delete say Work and end up losing a lot of previous older stuff.

I've tried the Get Info and there's nothing that says how large it is or anything.

Any ideas?

FIrst, you could just select each calendar and do a File>Export>Export (at least that's the command in Snow Leopard). That way you'll have the backups of each one. You can import them back into your calendar of choice.

If you really want see what's in them, you can open them with TextEdit (open TextEdit and drop the ics file onto the icon in the dock)...you'll get the raw data but it's easy to figure out. Don't make any changes, though!

Great! TextEdit worked out.

Got rid of Work, Calendar, and Home. Just need to think of what to rename David. It's my old school schedule and other personal scheduled stuff that's not for work.

Most of my friends get annoyed when I ask them about iCal stuff... Oh, Calendar.
