Hello, so I purchased the Verizon iPhone full price on launch date to use with T-mobile. This past week I went to Apple because I had a smudge under the screen... Initially they were going to replace just the screen, but when I picked up they told me that they couldn't get the front camera to work so they replaced the whole phone.

I checked to make sure I got the 256gb and everything else was in order... however I totally forgot to check that I was given a Verizon model. And the reason why I am worried is because when you fill out the work order form, it asks who your cell provider is and I put down T-mobile. How can I check which model I was given?

Settings/General/about. Check the model. If you touch the model it should show A1865. That is the Verizon model.

See this https://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/#iphone-X

To check what model you have go to Settings -> General -> About, then tap on Model.

Then you can check to see if your model has Verizon listed as a supported network here: https://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/

So I tried that initially and my phone model does say A1865 however when going to that site it shows this model number for both the GSM and CDMA models, and its just one long list of all the networks.

A1865 is the Verizon model as it shows Verizon wireless listed. The AT&T/T-Mobile model would be A1901.

Verizon has CDMA…still.

That said, Apple always replaces like for like. So, whether you checked or not, THEY checked. And you would have gotten back exactly what you gave them.

perfect I see that now... Didn't scroll down far enough on that page what a dope I am lol! thanks for the help guys!

They do like for like. I have had those concerns as well and have never had an issue; always check though.

Glad you got a new device though! That's always a good feeling; your device's lifespan has effectively been reset.
