How Can I delete this WiFi Profile???

In OSX Mountain Lion, there would be a +/- button to get rid of it. But in El Capitan, it won't let me delete it and I can't renew the ceritificate. Do any of you know how to get rid of that?

You need to go to the Wi-Fi tab, highlight the network in question and then hit the minus button. It's been like that in OS X for as long as I can remember.

Tried that, but it doesn't delete the certificate. It just "forgets" the wifi network

Weird, I remember that there was a remove button in the past. Can you open the Keychain Access application and look in either the Login or Local Items/iCloud keychains (more likely the former) whether there is a related entry there (searching for the name would probably suffice). You can delete the entry there, maybe it takes care of the profile too. It will probably say something like 802.1X in the kind column.

Have you looked for something that relates to it in Keychain Access?
On the left side you will see 'certificates'.

Try finding it in Keychain.app.

In Terminal, enter the following:

 sudo /usr/bin/profiles -D

Enter your admin password when prompted and confirm that you'd really like to delete all profiles.

Note that doing this can leave things behind so be sure to remove the saved wifi network and anything related in your Keychain.

Is there a separate menu in System Preferences called Profiles? If you can’t see it, open Spotlight and type “Profiles”. You should end up with the following result. Opening it will open the hidden preference in System Preferences where you will hopefully be able to remove it.

Maybe it’s better to verify first which profiles there are? This option will remove all of them.
