Technically you can't... but why do you want to? The general consensus is that 9.1 is better.

It's very stuttery. What do you mean I can't?

I'm on 9.1 beta 5 and want to go with whatever the iPhone 6 Plus is shipping with which I believe is 9.0.2.

I mean technically they don't want you downgrading and keeping your data can be tricky. Anyway there's two things you could try, you can enter DFU mode and restore to 9.0.2, but unless you have a backup from iOS 9.0.2 or earlier you'll lose your data. Or you could try shift/option updating to 9.0.2 which could keep data but could potentially cause issues.

If I don't care to keep my data then what are my options?

Here's my question:

I'm currently on iOS 9.1 public beta 5 and have deleted the beta profile on my phone.

What's the best way for me to upgrade to the official version of iOS 9.1 when it's released to the public and then make sure that I'm *off* the beta track?

I assume that when iOS 9.1 is officially released to the public, I'll be notified OTA as usual...but how do I make sure that I don't get any more beta updates?

I think at some point that the final version of iOS 9.1 should appear, once you're on that there shouldn't be any more beta updates as long as you don't have the profile. But if they released a "beta 6" first for example that would show up for you instead.

I'm just guessing though.

I believe you're right, because I deleted the beta profile from my phone after I downloaded beta 4 and then beta 5 still showed up as an update.

Enter recovery mode by plugging your phone into the computer and hold both the power and home button for 5 seconds. iTunes will detect it and install 9.0.2 to your phone. Here's a step by step guide if you want: http://www.imore.com/how-to-iphone-ipad-recovery-mode

Cool. Do you know how long it takes to upload photos to iCloud? I'm currently uploading about 300 and it's taking time.

I didn't discover this, but it works. Just did it to move from 9.1 beta 5 to 9.0.2. All my data is intact.

"How to downgrade to iOS 9 on your iPhone or iPad," if you choose "Update" instead of "Restore and Update," it will replace your 9.1 beta OS with the official 9.0 release OS, without deleting any of your user data! In other words, no time-consuming restore from backups are necessary. Once your phone completes the update, all of your data is still in place.

I’m not sure when this new option showed up, but it’s real, and it’s spectacular.

And afterward, if you no longer want to be part of the beta program, or prompted to install the 9.1 beta, delete the profile from your phone: Settings – General – Profile – Select “iOS 9 beta software profile” – choose delete profile.

How do you only update?

I 'downgraded' from 9.1 beta 4 to 9.0.2 by just by downloading the ipsw and then shift+check for update and then selecting the ipsw. Dont know how it worked but it went without a hitch primarily but then i ran into syncing problems with itunes.

DFU restore would be the way to go.

When you downgraded, were you able to restore from your 9.1 backup?
