Does anyone know how to actually block the annoying youtube adds that start playing before the actual video starts. Last couple of weeks this add thing has gotten really out of hand 8/10 video's have these adds.

Was looking for an add blocker on the web but couldn't come up with a solution that actually works.

I'm running Yosemite's latest version and also running the latest Safari version.
All help/tips are much appreciated

Yes I too would like to know. Not are these ads only a few second but some last 2-3 minutes it's ridiculous !!! Also annoying and I end up not watching the video anyways.

I've had pretty decent results with the AdGuard extension. Not every ad is blocked, but it is alright. Adblock and Adblock Plus weren't good enough.

I also read that Safari extensions can't block these ads in the same way Chrome or Firefox would so, so you might have better results with these browsers.
