iPod How can I fix my ipod

I had an iPod shuffle first generation and it died. I purchased another one used. I reformatted it and added songs. When I try to play songs it blinks green and yellow. What can I do to fix this ?

Buy another iPod shuffle. (not trying to sound like a dick. It's a serious answer because they're so cheap now it'd make more sense to try your luck with another unit than try to figure out how to fix it). I don't know what else to say because you've already done the two things that should fix that problem (reformatting and making sure there are songs on the iPod).
