How can I fix my mac's continuous clicking ticking sound? sometimes can't input from keyboard when this happens which prevents opening apps, entering passwords, etc. other times happens on some websites but not others. stops momentarily while magic mouse is depressed. sometimes it's ok after shutting down or restarting.

It would help if you told us:
What year the iMac was made.
What kind of DRIVE is inside?

Continuous "clicking" could be:
- internal fan (but other things would still work, so I don't think that's it)
- internal platter-based hard drive failing (this COULD be the source of the problems)
- power supply?

VERY IMPORTANT question:
Do you have a backup?

Someone should do a writeup on how to ask for support.
