Hello everyone,

I have gotten an RX 480 unit and want to install it on my Mac Pro 5,1.
This car works well with my operating system which is High Sierra however, I need to be able to see the boot screen since I also have a windows boot and need that for gaming which is why I got the graphics card, to begin with.

Please enlighten me,
I have big hopes for this community,

Thank you,

Go to the link below. Opencore is useful even with High Sierra.

Thank you for all your responses, correct me if I am wrong but my issue is not High Sierra.
I need to see the startup screen.

I need to see the startup screen.
There are basically 2 ways to get a bootscreen:

- install OpenCore links about how to: see post #2 and post #3
OpenCore is not a substitution for a Mac OS , but more like something added, to put it simple.

- get the GPU flashed with a EFI rom. For this card it can only be done by e.g. MacVidCards Europe in Poland and can be found on eBay.
