Recently, I have always encouraged my close friends to get Mac or iMac for nearly the price of powerful Window PC. I introduced them to look at apple.com and they saw the ads regards "I'm Mac & I'm PC" commercial. Then, we started to have the conversation in comparison.
They shown me their laptop running a program called "Easy Wifi Radar" and could get free open Wifi access. But unfortunately, not my MacBook Pro though!
So, is anyone out there please kindly advice me, if there is some similar software like that running for MacOSX for free too?

I think he's looking for more of a visual experience like Toshiba uses. It literally shows radar map with hotspots floating around.

I know exactly what you're talking about, and that has to be the most annoying thing ever. I can't understand why anyone would want those stupid orbiting dots....

AirPort shows you all the networks that are availbile, closed or open. That should be enough.

there is no chance you can find every piece of windows app's counterparts on a OSX, windows does have much more 3rd party apps then any other OS, quality aside, there is no comparison in quantity.

Also, Free Wi-Fi... is not easily available unless you steal it, or you live in a area where there is free service...
