I paid $20 for Mountain Lion awhile back, then upgraded to Maverick.

However, I have Snow Leopard Install DVD and want to install Mountain Lion again, but I noticed Apple has removed ML from the App store? Why? And how can I get it installed now?

Thank you for your help.

I'd guess they removed it for sale because they don't want people buying the old version.

When I go into the Mac App Store, it still shows up under the Purchases tab.

It doesn't show up in App Store for me, nor in iTunes, why?

You can re-purchase Mountain Lion through the online Apple Store:
http://store.apple.com/us/product/D6377Z/A/os-x-mountain-lion

You can't get to Mountain Lion in App Store apps, but if you have already purchased and downloaded ML, then you won't need to pay for it a second time - it will still be listed in your App Store purchases, where you can download it again. That's assuming that you access the App Store using the same Apple ID account that you used to purchase ML originally.
Go into the App Store, go to your Account info, and click the Reset button for purchases. That's not the exact text, but the reset should replace any purchases that you may have deleted from the list of purchases.

DeltaMac I think that worked, I see Mountain Lion now and a "download" button.

So I will restore Snow Leopard and download and install ML.

Is ML still getting security updates?

Yes.
10.6 has recently been dropped, but Lion (10.7) and newer still get security updates.

Ok cool:) Because I am going to install Snow Leapord and then Mount Lion because Maverick is so sluggish and slow on my iMac 2007 + 4GB RAM.
