On my mac I have macOS 10.9 with iTunes 11. When i try to download something or sign in into my ID Apple iTunes shows me this error.

In english: Upgrade to the latest iTunes version.

You could modify the version in iTune’s Info and version plists
/Applications/iTunes.app/Contents/Info.plist
/Applications/iTunes.app/Contents/version.plist
Replace “iTunes 11” with “iTunes 13”

Does this show even in the library? Or do you only see it when you go to the store?

on my early intel MacBooks 2010 2012 running Mountain lion I can even get internet through iTunes.
the version is 11.4, the latest and only one that will work with my set up.
I do agree that our iTunes version is perfect and rules!

I guess just ignore that and go on?
