Hmm?

Any way of doing it? I have a few old PC keyboards laying about but none of them connect to my iMac.

So yeah, when will Apple support XP using bluetooth?

I think the keyboard works once it's installed but MicroSoft did not include drivers for Apple Bluetooth in the XP install CD so you can't use it during install.

The solution is to buy, borrow or steal a USB keyboard.

You can use bootcamp to create your custom install disc, then take it, put it into a Windows box and use nLite (http://www.nliteos.com) to create an unattended installation. What you will do there is enter your product key, username, password, network configuration, etc (all the stuff that is normally done manually in the install). then, you record a new disc in Windows, put it into your Mac. Problem solved.

Apple BT keyboard works fine with windows install. I used it and a BT MS mouse to install XP onto my mini. Windows saw both device upon boot up and all worked fine until doing Driver install. Both mouse and Keyboard crapped out in the middle of installing drivers. I had to borrow a neighbors usb KB to finish up.

Yes, that would be because EFI would be translating the Bluetooth Mouse data into a generic PS/2 mouse for the installation.

When windows probes the devices rather than working with the generic data, then it will loose connectivity as it will say, oh, this isnt ps/2 it is bluetooth. I had better disconnect and reconnect using the new driver.

The only problem is that you can only connect the bluetooth devices once the OS is loaded through the "My Bluetooth Places" menu under Windows.

By the way, this was resolved in a Vista build from ~a month ago.
