My phone was stolen two days ago. I had to call my carrier to disable my SIM and my insurance company to disable IMEI.

Just wondering if there's anything I can do to locate a stolen MBA or remotely wipe the system?

Thanks in advance.

Yes. Prey does this for Win/OSX/Android/Linux

I just checked out Prey, looks pretty sweet. I think I might toy around with that.

OP, I feel you on the stolen iPhone. Mine was taken from me a few years ago.

Prey Looks Great if the theif keeps your OS on.. All they have to do is Re install the OS format the HD and he is in the CLEAR.... Isnt this true?

I believe Lion will bring a native application just like the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch "Where is my ****?" applications.

An average thief is probably not going to know how to put Mac OSX on a computer that has no CD/DVD ROM drive. Not a perfect solution, but a lot of stupid thief's out there. One stole a mac-book air and the owner remotely logged in and put thief's video on youtube.

I had my iPhone stolen last year - within one hour, it was back and the guy was arrested, all thanks to MobileMe's 'find my iPhone'

Nonetheless - I use GadgetTrak for my laptops, as well as the internal lock key if I close the computer's shell (you have to enter your admin password everytime it wakes up - and those are hard to hack)
