iPod How can I lock my nano?

I have not the latest nano but next in line. While I love the size and function its KILLING me how I cant lock the controls! It ALWAYS jumps off of what Im listening to unless its perfectly stationary. Is there any way to lock this thing or do I throw it away? It's useless to me this way.

Which one? the one with a camera? Slide the hold switch.

You know, one of the little square one's WITHOUT the sliding switch!!!

Turn off the shake to shuffle feature, its in the settings.

fortunately the big button that says "Sleep/Wake" in the description will lock the screen AND the shake-to-shuffle function... the iPod is not intended to be used with the screen on all the time - how can you even achieve this without using the controls all the time??? RTFM! that tiny thing you find in the nano's box or on apples website via this link!

Thank you I did that. Why would that be a default feature???

Beats me, it's annoying and just as annoying is the cover flow on the iPod Touch that appears when you tilt the device on the Now Playing Screen, thank god they have the orientation lock these days.
