Hi all - I've just bought an iPad Pro 10.5 and I want to make it the same as my iPhone 7 Plus.

What I mean by that is I want to be able to pick up either device (the iPhone for portability or the iPad for home use) and simply pick up where I left off in terms of all my email accounts, text messages, photos, etc. etc. etc. But when I've restored my iPhone backup to the iPad it appears to only have copied the apps (and the icons are just randomly scattered over the pages - no groups copied over etc). Neither are there any email accounts, photos etc. From that point of view it's like a brand new device.

Is this at all possible?

Nobody??

Just as an update, I've set both my iPhone and iPad calendars to sync with iCloud but it's not coming over to the iPad.

Can anyone help diagnose what is wrong please?

do not know if it will work but....

make a backup of your iphone to cloud or itunes then restore it to the ipad.

may not work though.

Do you have iCloud settings turned on for those?

I just got a new iPad Pro 10.5 and didn't have the courage to set it up as new .
So , as I had made a backup of my iPad Mini I restored it from that backup through iTunes . No problem whatsoever .
The only thing is that I had to log back in to some apps .
I hope this will help you .

Make sure Handoff is turned on . For that , go to Settings - General - Handoff , and turn it to ON. On both devices .
