How can I manually Install Rosetta 2 on my Late 2021 16" MacBook Pro M1 Max OS Ventura 13? Only answers I see is in regards to receiving a pop up window when trying to run Intel based app. I need to know how to actually manually install Rosetts 2 "without the pop up." Thanks

As root (or using sudo)
Code:
/usr/sbin/softwareupdate --install-rosetta --agree-to-license

So... with "sudo", is the "full" command:

sudo /usr/sbin/softwareupdate --install-rosetta --agree-to-license

????

Or... something else?

Yes or you can do something like:

sudo -s /usr/sbin/softwareupdate --install-rosetta --agree-to-license <... other root commands> exit

Yeah, that'll work. It will ask for your Admin password - as you type it, there's NO feedback that it's listening. Just trust that it is, input the password, and press Return. You should be good to go.

Thanks, I should have specified, I am referring to a 14" M1 MBP.
Open Activity Monitor and if you see Kind:Intel, Rosetta is already installed on your Mac. You can even force it by installing an Intel app. Why do you need to manually install it?

I ran into this just yesterday activating a new M2 MBA and migrating from a 2013 MBP. One of the apps that was migrated was an Intel version so when I launched it I got the notification that Rosetta was required, took about 30 seconds and the app worked properly afterwards. It was really simple. There was also another app that popped up that notification but in that instance I deleted it and re-downloaded it from their web site and that version did not require Rosetta, the other one did even after re-downloading it. But even though I was initially concerned it really was a quick and simple process.
