I've reserved an iPhone 4 and all the UK carriers are starting to release their tariff details which include a range of different caps on data. To help me decide how much data I am really likely to use each month I would like to measure my usage on my iPad for a few days which will definitely represent a very worst-case scenario but would at least give me one data point to consider. Is there anything in the OS that I've missed that shows this or, failing that, is there an app that does it?

I emphasise that I have a WiFi only iPad so I have no access to any reports on data usage from a network provider.

Under the General tab under Settings, the is a section for data usage.

Sadly, not on the WiFi model (unless I'm going blind). Is that's the section in settings that goes:

<Top of page>
About

Sounds

Network
Bluetooth
Location Services

....

International
Accessibility
Battery Percentage

Reset
<Bottom of page>

Just to check I'm not looking in the wrong place or going blind, what are the items above and below it? I suspect that in a WiFi only Apple might think that data monitoring isn't needed.

No. The op explicitly stated he had a wifi model.

To the op, unfortunately there is no way to measure wifi usage. The 3g models have a usage meter for 3g data only.

There isn't even a general usage/standby meter.

I really wish the ipad had it just like the iPhones do
