At the moment I am testing something and therefore have installed so many apps that I can't even see all of them. I have to search or go to the App Library. But how do I get those apps to one of the first pages? It doesn't work with holding the finger and choose "Edit Home Screen" for an icon in Search or App Library. Every new installed app is invisible at the moment.

Press and hold in the search and select “add to Home Screen”

The problem is they are on the Home Screen already but it doesn't have enough pages to show them. They appear one by one if I delete some others.

This is all I get as options in search for those apps:

Edit: The Home Screen has 15 pages and my screen is also very small (SE). Why this limit? If I would use widgets, what I don't do, there would be even space for less apps.

You've hit the max limit of pages. I think very few people have more than 364 apps installed (24 apps per page, plus 4 in the dock).

Go find your app in the App Library and drag it to one of your pages...but you will not be able to see all your apps at once. Might need to start putting some apps in folders.

I can't drag them out there too. That's the problem.

Seems I have to live with that for a while and then I wipe it. Might be faster, then deleting them one by one.

I found a simple solution. Just made two folders and filled them with apps until they were full and a third one with apps I wanted to move to the second page.

Now I have a few empty pages again and all apps are on the Home Screen in folders or directly and can be moved.
