how can i move itunes to ext HD?

apple emailed me instructions and i still cant make it work
i'm on a g3
can someone help me?
i'm out of space and my lacie is sitting here empty

Do you let iTunes manage all of your relevant files? If so, go to the iTunes preferences and in the General tab, change the location to a folder on your external drive. When you hit okay, they should all be moved across. If they aren't then select Consolidate Library from the Advanced menu within iTunes.

i think ive got it now
i kept looking under preferences-advanced for 'consolidate' and didnt even notice the tool bar advanced menu
