I have a phone that has some apps (not Apple apps, but One Note, another note-taking app that's no longer in the iTunes store, and one other. I've carefully turned off "auto update" in my settings, and have enjoyed (depended on) the old versions for so long.

My "new phones" usually come from Ebay, new-Apple-warranty replacements somebody had or got and never used. So I get to use an older IOS (10.1.1) which I want to put my "old" version of the apps on, too.

How can I save these old versions in iTunes? It used to be there was a whole page where you can physically slide the app into iTunes (a long time ago) and keep it there, now there isn't and hasn't been for a long time.

I want to keep and save and re-load the OLD UN-updated versions of these apps. I don't want to download them from my "purchased" list because that downloads the latest versions.

If anyone can tell me how to save these from my old phone and to get the same older version onto my "new" phone, I'd really appreciate it!

When I do updates in iTUnes the old versions end up in trash so they have to be somewhere on computer (depending on MAC or Windows). You should be able to find and save a copy I would think.

It maybe possible through iTunes. Download your desired apps through iTunes and go to iTunes -> Preferences -> Advanced -> iTunes Media Folder Location. In this folder under "Mobile Applications" should contain your applications. Save the applications in this folder. When you get a new phone temporarily change the media folder and put your saved applications in this new location. I have not tested this however, it may help you devise some strategy.
