My father in law is old school and needs to print off his emails.

I've never noticed this in all my years as an iOS user, but emails from today and yesterday have that at the top so when he prints then off, he has no recollection as to the actual date they were sent and has to manually write the date on the top.

Seems quite a backward way of doing things. How can he get it to print off the actual date?

Anyone have a solution (apart from "Get a new father in law")?

Thanks all!

Potentially going with another mail app that would show the date, but that's about it (short of maybe jailbreaking and installing some tweak that would address that in some way, if a tweak for something like that is even available).

I never noticed that before, it's very bizarre. I even tried exporting a mail as a pdf, and it leaves "Yesterday at 5:30pm" in there.

Yeah, strong argument for going with a different mail app.
