how can i undo my purchased apps?

if you purchase an app, you automatically see it with an icloud symbol on it, meaning it has been purchased/downloaded at the app store. How can i undo that? meaning, i don't want it to show as downloaded/purchased. sorta like reset it in a way so it doesn't look like i've downloaded it.

I have the same question...is there a way to hide the purchase

Why would you say that? When you log out of the App Store the cloud icon changes back into the price. If the app is on your phone it still shows OPEN. When you log back in, it changes back to the cloud icon.

Instead of silly all caps responses if you tell me what didn't work for you then I or someone else can help.
 
You can go to iTunes on your computer and hide purchases. Login to iTunes and on the purchases section there's a little X on the corner on each app (on mac it shows up when you hover over with the mouse). However, you can also undo the hide by resetting the purchases. It should also hide the app from the App store on your iDevice.

won't let me delete or reset the purchased/downloaded app.

You have to go to Settings - iTunes & App Store - Turn off Show All Music and Videos


I think that's what you are asking? if the App is not on my iOS device I will see the Cloud. Which it's something you can't deselect unless you logged out, maybe, out of the App store? Which imo is silly to do. It might mess up your settings on your iPhone.

You cannot reset or delete a purchased app. I'm guessing you want to erase any trace of you ever purchasing the app. You can try asking Apple to refund you the purchase.

I'm confused as to what the OP is trying to do. With the excellent information you gave above on hiding an app from iTunes:

  • On my iPhone it disappears from the list of purchased items in the App Store
  • On my iPhone in the App Store it no longer shows as in the cloud and the purchase price is displayed
  • In iTunes it shows the purchase price instead of Downloaded or Update
  • In iTunes it disappears from the list of purchased apps

The only place I can find it is in the area where you unhide hidden purchases. :confused:

I think the op is trying to completely erase any trace of ever purchasing the app. Maybe he bought a porn or "cheat on spouse" app and don't want the spouse to find out *shrug*

Oh i didn't know it shows the purchase price in the iTunes store. I learned something new, lol.
 
yes i want no trace of me downloading the app.. how can i delete it from showing as purchased? that's what i want to know.

Your only solution is deleting the app from every device and computer you have it on and hide the purchase. The only way it will be visible then is from the account page where you can manage hidden purchases. It won't even show under purchased once you've hidden it.

Why do you need to remove all traces of the purchase?
 
lets just say we don't want purchased app showing as purchased while "searching" for apps on the app store. haha..
