I have a brand new iPhone which has not been activated yet and has firmware version 1.1.2 on it.

I want to upgrade the firmware to version 1.1.4 so i can use pwnage to unlock it, but I don't know how to upgrade it.

When I connect the phone iTunes goes to the "Let's get started" activation page and wants me to activate the phone, so I can't seem to do anything to the phone via iTunes other than activate it.
Does anyone know how I can do this upgrade?

turn the phone off, hold the home button(keep this held), plug the cable in (or dock) this will force the phone to recovery mode. then option click restore to choose the 1.1.4 iphone firmware upgrade.

once complete, ipwn it ;)

job a carrott!
