How can I use my old iPhone as an ipod?

Just put it in flight mode or swap it for a real IPOD =)

There is, do a seach for it. I forgot what I did but its a hack. I did that do my origional iPhone and gave it to my son to use as a iPod with a camera and speakers. Works great.

Why would it asking for a SIM stop you from using it as an iPod?

just put an old unusable sim card on it?

My 2G works just fine without a SIM.
