I have been researching the issue of using my iphone to be an internet gateway for my powerbook while i am on vacation. I did this a couple of years ago with my motorola razr but it seems they have not made this a functionality within the i phone. Is there a way to get around this. I am traveling to Mexico and want to use it to check my e-mail since my resort does not have internet in the rooms.
DOes anyone know if there is a way to get the two working together either with bluetooth (which is how the razr did it) or with wifi which both are enabled with and can create a network with but it still needs something more to allow the internet to pass from the iphone to my laptop.
Any insight is greatly appreciated!

Do a search for "tethering" in the forums. I know it's possible, and I also know it has been discussed in the past at length. But I don't know if it's done through Bluetooth, and probably not the easiest process. But search the answers here. If I knew how to do it off the top of my head then I'd say, but I don't.
