I use an app called Clean My Mac 3, which helps you free up space on your hard drive by cleaning unnecessary resources. It's a great app that, among other things, can automatically clear Page, Keynote, and Numbers document versions–which can save gigabytes of space if you use these apps a lot.

However, due to Apple restrictions on built-in macOS apps, Clean My Mac cannot clear document versions for Text Edit documents.

Does anyone know how to clear document versions from all your Text Edit documents? Is there a specific folder document versions are saved in that you can delete, or a terminal command that could do this?

When I send Text Edit documents to others, I'd rather not let them see all the edits and previous versions I've had of the document.

Thanks!
