On the iPhone x or iPad pro, when using a usb-c PD charger and a suitable usb-c to lightning cable, how can you tell if quick charge is actually working?

Is a mains Power adapter the only way, or does it indicate it on the phone/iPad?

So just to update, i've now got a Genuine apple 61w mains- usb-c charger and a 2m usb-c to lightning cable.

But if I plug into my iPhone x it's only pulling 10w.
If I plug into my Ipad pro 10.5 it pulls 12 W which suggests fast charging is not working on either!

What percentage of battery is each device at when you are plugging in to charge? This will determine how much they pull.

I’ve now determined the USB-C to lightning cable is fake.

It was almost impossible to tell by looking at it and Apple doesn’t have a guide to show what fake usb-c cables look like.

I took several photos and provided them to Apple to investigate as the cable was bought from a shop.

The owner of the shop is now taking this is with his supplier.
