How change widget settings when in Stack?

Some widgets have settings you can tweak by tapping it when in toggle mode. But when a widget is in a stack, I can't figure out how to get to those settings. Is it not possible?

You don’t need to be in “Jiggle mode.” Just scroll to the widget you want in the stack, then Haptic Touch it by holding down, and hit “Edit [widget app name]”
