It's a PowerPC game which will run poorly on anything other than a G4 or G5.

Macs are Intel now and run old PowerPC programs through an emulator.

Graphics Acceleration.

There ain't enough. You need to set the detail settings as low as possible to get it to run OK.

It lags like crazy on my 2 ghz, 2 gb ram MacBook Pro. That game and most others are not designed to be fully enjoyed on anything less than a top of the line Mac Pro with the best NVIDIA graphics you can install. (Not to mention the need for a screaming fast machine with beefy specs to begin with).
