I use my phone to upload videos to YouTube (since my data is a lot faster than my home wifi)

Some of the files I upload are .mov files.

I've tried it with different phones. If I go on YouTube.com on a OnePlus 3 and click upload, I can see the .mov file and it uploads perfectly.

When I try to use other phones like the Galaxy S7 or LG G5, the files just do not show up. Even though it IS in my phone.

Why is this? How can I tell if a phone I buy is going to support .mov files or not?

I see .mov files in my S7 edge just fine. Are you using the Youtube app or browser (which one)?

Really? Did you put the file on a micro SD card or is it just in the internal S7 storage?

I've been using YouTube in the chrome browser.
