I can on-line successfully with the internet cable directly connected to my ibook. However, today I bought a D-Link 624+A I could not setup nor connect properly it with my ibook.
Do any of you know step by step how to set up the D-Link 624+A router?
My main problem is that when I connect the cable with the router (D-link connected to internet), no signal shown.

Thanks a lot.

Usually you have to set up a router with an ethernet cable connection first so you can set the wireless info such as SSID and password for encryption.

There should be a small booklet with the setup info on it included with the router. Typ. you just connect to the router with an ethernet cable and type in a URL into a web browser to get the router's setup page and make changes there. Then unplug and try to connect wirelessly.

You may also need to restart the cable modem as you changed devices plugged into it (CPEs track devices based on MAC address and if it changes they require a restart of the CPE that is the cable modem).

Thanks Sayer!
I connected to the router and enter the address (192.168.0.1) as per the booklet, but I can't get into the menu except I turn on the airport and enter it by wireless (the default of the router seems wireless).

The ethernet cable seems can't connect with my ibook.

One more thing, I got no modem in my home setup, there is only 1 prefixed ethernet outlet for me so that I cannot reset any modem.

I am still working it out ....
