Hi guys,

How difficult would it be to make an AllerCalc like application for Mac OS X? I have MathType at the moment which is fine except I'm not allowed to use it in exams (since it is too powerful and will basically work out anything you give it whereas AllerCalc still requires you to know what to do).

I have an exam on 5th of June so I need to get this sorted out or I'll be forced to use one of the schol's exam laptops (which is a really horrible old Toshiba laptop which is a nightmare to work with).

Thanks

Calculator programs

Would this calculator work for you? http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/math_science/calc.html Here's a list of functions that it supports: http://plot.micw.eu/Doc/Expressions

Hi there,

Thanks for that link. That does look like it will do everything I need, and nothing that is banned. I've emailed the functions list to my maths tutor and will show him the app running when I next see him (Tuesday) as he doesn't have a mac everyone else just uses PCs with AllerCalc and if he thinks it's ok then it's all good :)

Thanks
