Hi all,

I am currently on holiday, and my macbook pro crashed this passed weakened, I need to access some file in that machine to send to a client by tuesday! Now I have with me a mac mini and an android phone, I have no screen keyboard etc...

I can not afford to format my laptop to fix its current issue, I was wondering if there is a way to connect to my mac mini with my android phone with an app similar to idisplay, but that does not need software on the mac, ass at this point there is no way for me to view the mac mini.,

Any help would be mutch aprieted, I just really need to transfer the files from my crashed mac book pro to my imac, so I can format the laptop finish the job and make me client happy,

Thank you

Do you have access to someone's iMac or a monitor? If you have access to an iMac, here's how you use it as an external monitor: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3924

Did you upgrade your Mac Mini to Lion and turn on iCloud and Screen Sharing? If so you could also try to connect to it again via some other Mac that has Lion and that would let you set up a quick account for using your iCloud screen sharing.

Lastly, you could attempt to turn on VoiceOver and basically be a blind person. You can press Command+F5 and voiceover will turn on. Good luck :D

Thanks for your reply, unfortunatly all I have is the crashed macbook pro, the mac mini and the android phone., at the hotel the tv as no hdmi.,
I will see if I can use the phone as a key board and blindley try setup the mac mini so the screen can be shared

Thanks again fir your help much apriciated

It seams like all these app need some sort of software installed on the mini, I guess the only thing left to do is to find out if there is a computer store of sorts here in the sticks where I currently find my self.,
