19,1 iMac, macOS 11.6, iOS15.0.2 iPhone11Pro: There are maybe 10 fonts I use primarily on my iMac that I want to add to my iOS15 iPhone11Pro. Researching looks like I must buy an app (which includes fonts) for the iPhone to install the fonts. Is this the only way?

I mean I own these fonts, why not use them on the phone?

Must use ios14+, download any font app, i used ifont, its free. I chose 10 fonts i like on the mac, and stored them in newly made folder in my icloud drive. Opened ifont, found the fonts in the cloud and downloaded Into ifont. Clicked install each font in ifont. For each font i went to ios Settings/VPN & Device management. Clicked install/install/Done for each font. I did this one font at a time only. There is a way to batch install, but this way worked for me. It is definitely more complex than drag and drop in macOS.
