how do I add apple store gift cards to my account?

I am having issues trying to add apple store gift cards to my account. I just wanted to have it on my wallet or even my apple store app so I can buy my apple watch in the future.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

It has been a while, but as I recall, add it to Wallet. When shopping at an Apple Store, pay with Apple Pay using the store credit.

Don't see option to add it. Only credit and debit
