Hi, the bottom half of my iphone 2G touchscreen is dead (most likely digitizer) I wanted to try to decrease the sensitivity, but for that I need to vnc into through wifi, or similar.

However none of this is possible because i can't 'slide to unlock' is there a way to add that config to the firmware prior to flashing?

thanks :D

Try Mquickdo. it allows you to have app launch shortcuts on the lock screen and clicking them unlocks the phone without having to slide.

Wait... So are you trying to upgrade?

Are you jailbroken now? Are you trying to jailbreak by flashing the firmware?

If the later is the case you can have pwnage build a package with VeenCy pre installed so you can get access right away.
