Hi everyone, I'm dealing with a bunch of .heic photos I took with my iPhone and I want to convert them to .jpg on my Windows 11 laptop. The problem is that there are too many files, about 50-100, and it's too much trouble to convert them one by one manually. Is there any quick way or tool to convert heic to jpg in batches? I've tried some online converters, but they're either too slow or have file size limits. Does anyone have any good suggestions?

Thanks a lot!

Windows 11 does not support heic images by default. Do you have a Mac? The built-in preview app on macOS can convert heic to jpg natively.

I've long used IrfanView for all sorts of things such as bulk conversions of images.

On this page, it explains about how to set up IrfanView to handle HEIC - I haven't needed to, so cannot verify the instructions! The information might have some applicability outside IrfanView.

Can export to a cloud account (iCloud, Dropbox, etc) and convert at the time of the export.

Select the image(s), Share Sheet, will see an Options box at the top. Tap Options, check "Most Compatible". Done and then "Save to cloudstorageofchoice".

But, yeah, not any help for files already on Windows.
