I'm trying to burn a DVD that i just bought onto a blank dvd-r disc but i just don't know how? any help?

You can buy a program called toast which is very easy to use, or if its just data I believe you can just burn it in the finder. All you need to do is put the dvd into your mac and when it shows up in the finder just drag whatever you want to it and click the burn button. Done.

Do you mean a video DVD that you just bought–i.e., you're trying to copy a DVD?

yes that is exactly what i mean . . . i just got toast and it says that the dvd is copyrighted? any way around this?

use the search function my man. there are many threads about this. also, you can go to ripdifferent.com as well.

but you will need something like Toast or Nero for DVD ripping/burning, etc.

also, you will need MacTheRipper to extract the DVD to your hard drive so you can burn it to disc with Toast

Do a search. you'll be amazed
