Every day my spam folder fills up with iTunes and Apple emails in different languages. The problem is, I have a domain name that is very close to apple.com. It's my last name, and I've been using it for nearly 20 years, so I'm not going to change it, but I would like to be able to close the accounts of those who use my domain in their email address. For some reason, it appears to happen mostly in Germany and France...? This started a couple years ago, but it's been getting worse and worse and lately I've been clicking the "Unsubscribe" link in each email and seeing if that works, but it doesn't appear to have much effect.

Anyone know how I can close these accounts? It's more than a little annoying...

Thanks!

Eddie A.

Have your domain only accept email for specific usernames. Unless you need to capture email to all usernames for some reason.

Probably not. But since it is your domain, can't you just create a rule(s) to have those emails DELETED when they arrive? I assume the "userids@" are random and not valid for your domain. You must be using a CATCHALL type email where they come to your email address or they would be rejected as bad emails.

I thought about that, but I do use tracking emails when I signup for services, promotions, etc.. So, for example, I might use promo@mydomain.com so if I start getting spam at that email address, I know who sold my address, and I can turn off all email to that address. Unfortunately it requires that I accept email to anything at my domain, since I can't really filter every tracking email address I've ever created... And yes, I do have a catchall email so I get everything at my domain.

I've setup a couple new rules to delete emails from iTunes Germany and iTunes Europe on my email host and hopefully that will reduce these emails significantly...
