How do I change my picture on my user account?

I have tried to insert pictures into the photos program but nothing shows up there. What do I have to do to be able to find a picture on my mac to use for my account? I actually simply want to use the Apple logo pic you can see I have attached here.

Apple > System Preferences > iCloud > Click on Photo above your name > Edit

or

Apple > System Preferences > Users & Groups > Click on Photo above your name > Edit


Put that picture in your photos library.

I searched for photos library and dragged it into there. Now I was able to get it to work. Thanks.
