After macOS Sequoia 15 destroyed my iPod Shuffle 4th Generation I fixed it on macOS 10.15 Catalina (see my other recent post).
The only difference is the voice used for Voice Over: it is a robotic American voice (sorry, I'm British and find it hard to listen to). The previous voice had been consistent over years and was perfectly acceptable to me.
On Catalina, I tried changing the "System Voice" in Settings > Accessibility > Speech. It was already set to Daniel, which wasn't what I was hearing. I set it to a British female voice (downloaded) so a change would be unmistakeable. In the iPod sync window I switched off Voice Over, synced, switched back on and synced again. It made no difference: I still had the Dalek (sorry, British reference).
Does anyone know how I can change the Voice Over voice? Even if your answer is not for macOS Catalina it will likely help. Thanks in advance.
