I share wifi from my computer, so i can connect to it through my phone. But the name it has now is from the person who used this computer before i got it, and i have no clue how to change it. I tried almost everything, and changed the names in the network, but it doesn't seem to have caught on. Or perhaps i changed the wrong thing, i don't know.

Could someone tell me how to change the name of the wifi?

I’m not completely sure on what you are asking, but my expectation is the setting you are looking for is in system preferences > sharing, then at the top you can change your “computer name.” That is the setting that controls what the network sees as the name of your device so if I understand your question correctly, that will be the setting you need to change.

I also believe from the same sharing pane (System Preferences > Sharing> Internet sharing), you can change the network name
