i have this movie, which is in .avi, and for a fansub it uses a file that ended with .srt.txt.

the movie uses DX50 for the codec, has 640 X 360 resolution, and is in 23.97 fps.

the audio uses mpga for the audio codec, is 48000 hz and is 128 bitrate.

i don't know how to combine these two together, and convert it to .avi divx. i don't know how to use ffmpeg X well. i tried by converting it to divx, and told it to load the .srt.txt file, and have the same window size, and framerate, but ffmpeg X didn't encode it.

Have you tried to just put them in the same folder? I think that may be all you need to do. If not, then I don't know.

that works well, but i wanted a single file in .avi and in divx to view the file. i'm worried that my pc counterparts will get annoyed if they have to instal viewing applications for windows just to view this movie.
