how do i customise my user account photo?

in Lion i was able to chose a picture to display as my user account, but i cannot understand how it works in ML.

these are the options i get:

the defaults dont offer any alternative aside from the presets and recents only show the recent default files ive selected.

I think you should be able to drag a picture onto the square
