I downloaded a Comic (not video) from Kingstone Comics and didn't realize how much memory that would take up. Now I want to delete the download but don't know 2 things I need to know...

1 - how do I find out where the Comic is downloaded?
2 - how do I delete it?

Thanks to anyone that can help. I'm using a pretty new updated iPad 2 and when I view the Comic I purchased in the Kingstone App, it gives no way to delete it from there and I don't know where it 'goes' when I open it.

Check if the app has a folder in “On My iPad” or in iCloud.

Worst case, delete the app and its data, then reinstall.

Thanks for your answer. I did that before I came here. It even told me it would delete all the data...but it didn't. I'm more upset that the Kingstone Comic owner doesn't know how to do this either, and he said he asked his tech guy to contact me. Twice. So he didn't. I'm not happy. Thanks again!

iOS apps generally save things within their own app sandbox directory, and it's up to the developer exactly how, where, and how the user accesses it. It might be technically possible to design an approved app poorly enough that you can't delete its documents, though it would surprise me to hear it's happened.

If you haven't tried it, you could check Settings > General > iPad Storage > [Kingstone App] and check whether it's possible to delete specific documents from there; sometimes you can selectively do that.

The only Kingstone I see is only 15kb so that's not it. It tells me that if I delete it the Data and Documents stay put so if you load the App again there they are....

Thanks for leading me to my iPad storage as I didn't know it existed. :)

I think I'll contact the Kingstone man again and tell him I'm desperate now.

I assume by memory you mean hard drive space? I can't imagine a single comic causing memory issues on an iPad?

If you delete the comic from within the app then it's no longer loaded (taking up space on you iPad's HD). Kingstone app can always have thing ready to download again without it taking up space on your HD.
