This is really an OSX thing, but I have updated info and will likely seek quicker help here. I DO use an iMac, though. ;-)
So, I usually use a bluetooth Apple keyboard on my iMac (in fact, the first-ever wireless Apple keyboard), but - at some point - I plugged in a non-Apple keyboard and switched the modifier keys in the prefs, in order that I might keep the same functionality and such.
However, going back and using the Apple keyboard, I found that something went screwy. After resetting the defaults for the modifier keys, the Apple keyboard wants me to press 'option' when I want to use 'command.' I then tried another Apple keyboard, and IT worked just fine.
Bottom line, does this wireless keyboard have a profile that can be erased and re-made? I'm not talking just a profile stored on my iMac - I'm talking a profile attached to this specific keyboard. This thing thinks it's a 3rd-party keyboard with Windoze keys! Not even the non-Apple-keyboard approach of switching the modifier keys around is helping. No way I switch them makes it work again.
Ideas? :/
Thanks,
