I tried installing an app but it only installed halfway through before crashing iTunes, and I've noticed that memory was used up from this failed installation. To what directory was this temporary official appstore app data installed? It is not in the applications folder. Thanks

Why dont you try downloading the app again?

I'm guessing if you download the app again it will remove whatever junk that was partially installed and is using some of your memory. Kind of like when you update an app and it automatically puts the old version in the trash.

Just a guess...
